I appreciate a lot of things about Good Earth. I've been familiar with them since they were a small market in Fairfax. I find that their philosophy (of supporting healthy food production to benefit human health and the ecosystem) but find it sometimes conflicts with their practice (understandably, as we all have to deal with real world limitations including the need to make a living) but their snobbery can be off-putting, especially when treated with disdain by some of the employees. Consistently I find the meat department in Mill Valley to be hostile (not Fairfax! the meat department manager there is awesome), and today it was the "pizza prep maker" in Mill Valley that seemed so incredibly angry to me. I get it, some jobs are shit and they pay shit, but that is not my fault. I'll probably keep purchasing produce from Good Earth (and the hot bar; those who do the hot bar are amazing) but I'll pass on the high prices and rude behavior throughout the rest of the store.

The pastry chef at GE is legit. They make super flakey pastries and delicious croissants and breads. Love the blueberry cheese danish, zucchini bread, pumpkin bread, cheese croissant, apple croissant/danish. Love coming here for coffee and pastries. Great bakery!!

The food is always so fresh and the customer service really seems like they really enjoy what they do and they are always willing to help. So good!

Hands down my favorite grocery store!! They mostly carry healthy and organic options and their produce selection and quality is amazing. I love that I don't have to think twice choosing produce here because everything is organic. If that's important to you, you'll love Good Earth. Depending on the season they also have a fantastic choice of fruits, which I really appreciate! The hot bar here is pretty good, and you can order from their menu ahead. They have an in-house bakery, too. Staff is wonderful and it feels like a very community-oriented business.

I love their grocery stores! Many others do too as it is super popular and busy, especially on weekends. They have fresh, organic veggies and fruit. They have fresh bread, pastries, desserts, and cake. The baguettes were crunchy on the outside and squishy and bouncy on the inside - fresh! Their scones are big, and their bear claws are bear sized! They have a great wine selection. They have cheeses of the world. They have a great hot food section with the takeout orders. The local, fresh feel of the place is also what I like. It is well organized; the Ambiance and vibes are good.

Good Earth is the best organic grocery store in the country (contiguous). You'll be spoiled here, and it is hard to shop anywhere else. I have no idea how the staff continues to source the BEST, yummiest, surprising and diverse organic products from around the WORLD, but you can find the highest quality of everything you need and more. They have the best beverage selection: all the kombucha, adaptogen elixir, and probiotic kefir sodas and teas you could ever dream of. Even the cosmetic section is mind blowing. Unlike Rainbow Coop there is no mold problem -- the quality of products at Good Earth and the sanitation is spotless. Little touches like tongs and spoons to retrieve organic fruits and vegetables from California's year-long growing season add to the quality and sanitary care. The staff are 100% on top of their game. They have great sales and are also so diligent about ETHICAL SOURCING -- I know when I enter, I don't even have to think twice because staff have done all the research, even removing brands and products whose companies treat staff unfairly. Super rare and special products, too If you see something that catches your eye -- buy it! Because staff are so great finding local and boutique artisan brands, you may never find this item again in other stores or any other time. Simply wonderful.

An amazing store!!! First of all, the complete line of Jane Iredale is sold here--- and now that all my Pharmacas are no more... Not to mention all of the prepared foods available, and the cheeses, etc It's a super souped up Berkeley Bowl for West Marin!!!

imagine if you took a Whole Foods and made it even healthier and have fresh options for everything you could want, this is the place. Everyone there is particular about their job and they run a beautiful ship. There are two locations, I'd recommend the Millvalley one because it's close to equator coffee at the proof lab, but whether it's going to the deli to get a sandwich or salad.. or pick up a fresh, or unique food item, I think you guys would love to check this place out.

5/5! Literal the most I could ask for of a store It's like a Whole Foods but without all the crap! Love love love I'm so happy I stumbled into this store on my visit in Marin. My favorite part of the store was the loose leaf tea wall and the juice and smoothie section. I would come here every day if I didn't live an hour and a half away.
